‘Arbor Girls’

Last fall, Shelby Fleischer contacted Rhoneymeade with interest in donating a bronze to the grounds. It needed some casting defects repaired first, so it spent the winter at the Rivet. There, Michael Green, a bronze welder, evaluated it, then fixed cracks in the legs and reattached one of the girls back to her stump pedestal.

Rhoneymeade picked up the sculpture at the beginning of June and sited it at the woodsy path entrance to the Children’s Nature Area and Communi-Tea Garden. It has garnered much appreciation from visitors and marks a cheerful and carefree entry to these growing program gardens.

Thank you Mr. Fleischer for this gift.
