About Foundations of Holistic Herbalism
Establish a strong foundation on your path to learning herbal medicine with our Foundations of Holistic Course. This class sequence offers an excellent introduction to herbal medicine by combining of hands-on learning, lecture, projects and getting out in the field to harvest and create a variety of herbal medicines. We will cover a wide array of Pennsylvania-based medicinal herbs, how to make a variety of herbal medicines (tinctures, salves, liniments, herbal vinegars, bitters, and teas), and how herbs apply to basic systems of the body.
We will also present an integrated philosophy for understanding herbs by their common herbal actions, drawing upon holistic herbalism and traditional Western herbal foundations. By the end of this course, you will feel confident in how to make your own herbal medicines and integrate their use into your daily life.
Join us in person for the Foundations of Holistic Herbalism Course in 2027 – this course meets on select Sundays. (Please note we also have a Saturday group the same weekends as this class if you prefer Saturdays please sign up for that section)
This course functions as the foundation of our Holistic Herbalism Certificate and covers a range of herbal practices.
This class meets once a month on a Sunday from 9:30am-330pm May-September 2027
Dates are: May 16th, June 13th, July 25th, August 22nd, September 19th
All classes will be held at Rhoneymeade in Centre Hall.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot in class, this goes towards the full tuition, which is sliding scale $425-625. Full tuition is due by April 1st and payment plans are available. We do have one partial scholarship spot available in each class, if you are interested in applying for that please email us.
