Peter Grimord, a Bloomsburg based nationally acclaimed artist will be featured for the month of October at the Studio at Rhoneymeade Arboretum and Sculpture Garden.
The focus of this month long exhibit will be Trees, including some subjects from the Rhoneymeade grounds. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the original, not prints, - 11" x 14" pen & ink artwork from a nationally recognized artist in an intimate setting.
"My drawing technique can be called "pointillist", a time consuming method that literally means bobbing the pen up and down onto the paper thousands of times to produce an illusion of a solid image. Like engraving, pointillism with ink pens tends to radically limit scale so my images are small and intimate. However, the slow buildup of the image rewards an attention to detail that's hard to rival without turning to some sort of chemical method such as zinc plate etching which is notorious for capturing almost photographic detail. Each drawing involves many hours of work, considerable eye strain, and occasional bouts with clogged ink pens." - Peter Grimord
